What is Budget Travel?
The goal with traveling on a budget is not to skimp on your experience by spending as little money as possible. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. I want you to stretch your travel budget as far as possible to either allow you to travel longer or farther.
Quick budget travel tip: you must not travel as if you’re a tourist but rather a local. Think like a local. Do as locals do.
Instead of dining out every night, pick up some local groceries and cook yourself dinner. Rather than hiring a taxi to drive you around, use public transportation like the locals do.
Pretty simple, right?
Think of your trip not as a vacation to pamper yourself, but rather an adventure abroad.
If you follow my budget travel tips, I guarantee your experience won’t diminish. In fact, most times I bet you’ll have a better experience since you’ll be rubbing elbows with the locals while at the same time saving money.
